| A CGS Hawk Gets a STOL Wing |

The CGS Hawk, a great little airplane, but like everything there is still room for improvement. Designed in 1982 by Chuck Slusarczyk, the Hawk has stood the test of time as a good design. While “good” is ok for some people, others require the latest improvements that technology can bring. Mr. Mark Miller is just that type of person. Mark enjoys flying in and out of remote and unimproved areas, and decided that an STOL (Short Takeoff & Landing) wing on his CGS Hawk would be a nice improvement. After contacting Thetford Aerospace the STOL wing was born! Engineering and testing is currently underway for a factory (Thetford Aerospace) produced STOL wing that Hawk owners can simply bolt on. While the project is still being analyzed for optimum performance and safety, the design criteria are as follows:
