Subject: thrust

well to day we started doing some thrust testing ,started with a baseline 135psi cranking,first pulls we did some carb changes finally got some pretty good o2 numbers thru the curve first pull 520pounds 2 530 3 535 4 545 looking good 3 pounds of boost running 92 pump gas junk should have av gas next pull 565 4pounds of boost pounds ,have decided we need to up static compression engine is just getting on the pipe around 4700 really pull shard from 5300 to 8500 really need some good fuel the next pulls seem better but thrust is going down,made 7 pulls torque is going down i know i should stop because of the poor fuel !but the gear head in me wont let me 7.5 psi boost then i heard it, when you bang a 2 stroke and hear it is to late ! wow better check compression 125psi on one cylinder done for today!
guess what the power was getting better but found out the thrust gauge had been leaking fluid there is the thrust problem! low on fluid so how much did it really make?
alot i think, guess ill find out next test period,pulled the cylinders just in time looks like when i cut the rave valves i needed about 0.20 more was just bumping o well no one is perfect. looks like the mighty wiscos were just starting to stick looks like ill add 2 more thousand on clearance .this is not my fist rodeo,i purchased 3 complete sets if pistons for this project ill clean these up new rings fix the thrust gauge , should know more next week. i think that next week we will see over 600 pounds of thrust! is that good?pretty bad ass i think! like i said sorry for the poor spelling im a engine guy not a teacher will post next test ,. thanks mark
